These pictures represent a special treat for me. This little bit of acreage is smack dab in the middle of Fremont adjacent to the BART station and no more than yards from Mowry, Stevenson, Paseo Padre and Lake Elizabeth. It is not open to the public on a regular basis. Volunteer help to maintain the property can be arranged for by going to the website: http://www.msnucleus.org/watersheds/tule/tule.html. With the cooperation and permission of Dr. Joyce Blueford, Ph.D. of the Math/Science Nucleus I was able to walk this awesome and marvelous property to take these pictures. In my opinion, the caretaking and scholarly maintenance of this little gem is being done in the appropriate way to preserve the integrity of the ecosystem there. The proximity to the public and yet its total independence from careless or malicious attention is creating a gem of education, study and appreciation. Thank you Dr. Joyce.
